If you wish to return a product for any reason, please contact JB’s prior to returning the product.
Racquets. New, unused racquets may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or credit toward another purchase. Racquets must have the original handle plastic outer wrap intact and must not have been played with. The racquet cover must also be returned in brand new condition. Credit for a string upgrade or shipping will be granted only if there was an error on our part.
Defective racquets are subject to the manufacturer's specific warranty policy. All racquets sold by JB's Tennis Shop come with a limited, one-year manufacturer's warranty. This warranty covers any physical defect that is caused by natural, non-abusive means. If you suspect that a racquet purchased from JB's has a manufacturing defect within one year of purchase, simply contact us for return instructions. You will be instructed to return the racquet to us (at your cost) along with the receipt of purchase. (At that time, you may also indicate to JB's if you wish to have a credit instead of a replacement frame.) JB's will then forward the frame to the manufacturer. Within 4-6 weeks of receipt, the manufacturer will either replace the frame or refuse the frame. Note that this decision is the manufacturer's to make, not JB's.
If your racquet is replaced by the manufacturer, the replacement frame will be either the exact frame you purchased or the manufacturer’s most similar frame currently in production. We will contact you to confirm stringing instructions, string it at no charge with the replacement string provided by the manufacturer (typically synthetic gut), and ship it to you by our standard shipping method at no charge.
If the manufacturer determines that your racquet is not covered by the warranty, your racquet will be returned to you along with an explanation from the manufacturer. The most common reasons for which a manufacturer will refuse to replace a returned frame are:
1. the one-year warranty period has expired
2. the racquet has been subjected to abuse, such as being hit against a net post or the ground
3. the racquet has been strung with an improper pattern or excessive tension (usually the result of having your frame strung by inexperienced stringers).
4. the racquet has been exposed to extreme heat or cold (usually by storing your frame in a car during extreme temperatures)
Please note that manufacturers carefully inspect each returned racquet for evidence of any of the above situations. If any of the above apply, please do not attempt to return your racquet for warranty coverage, since it will not be replaced.
Footwear. New, unworn shoes may be returned for a credit or refund within 30 days of purchase. Footwear must be returned in brand new condition in its original, undamaged shoe box. The shoe box may not be used as the shipping box. Credit for shipping will be granted only if there was an error on our part.
Defective footwear is subject to each manufacturer's specific warranty policy. Some manufacturers offer durability guarantees. Such guarantees vary in duration and are typically outlined in the literature enclosed with the new footwear. Please contact JB's Tennis Shop if you suspect your footwear may be defective.
Apparel. New, unworn apparel may be returned for a credit or refund within 30 days of purchase. Apparel must be returned in brand new condition with its original tags attached. Credit for shipping will be granted only if there was an error on our part.
Other Merchandise. Other merchandise, such as string, bags, and grips may be returned for refunds or credits if the products are in brand-new condition within 30 days of purchase. Credit for shipping will be granted only if there was an error on our part.
Time Limitation. Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise returned after later than 30 days from the date of purchase is subject to store credit.
Shipping Charges. Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges, unless there was an error on the part of JB's Tennis Shop.
